National Unemployment Day was observed across the country on 17th September 2020 on the birthday of Narendra Modi to register a nationwide protest against unprecedented rising unemployment and other related issues concerning the youth, students and workers of the country.
Protest demonstrations, campaigns, and rallies were organized across the country by various sections of the society including youth, students and workers.
Lakhs of tweets on Twitter poured in with the hashtag #National_Unemployment_Day, which trended on Twitter today at #1, even above the hashtags for Modi’s birthday.
