Mass meeting in memory of Bhagat Singh and Paris Commune (Delhi)

On occassion of the 90th martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh (23rd March) and the 150th anniversary of establishment of the first workers’ state – Paris Commune (18th March) – a mass meeting was organized in the District Park of Mayapuri Industrial Area.

After paying revolutionary tributes to the Shaheed-e-Azam, speeches, songs, and slogans were presented throughout the meeting in light of the revolutionary ideas of Bhagat Singh and the great significance of Paris Commune along with its historical limitations.

Towards the end of the meeting, the campaign for basic amenties in Mayapuri workers jhuggi-basti planned by the Committee was launched by taking down the signatures of present workers for the memorandum to be submitted to authorities.

The meeting concluded with united slogans “Inquilab Zindabad! Long Live Paris Commune! Bhagat Singh, you are alive in our aspirations!” and a working class hymn sung by worker comrade Vind Vyas.

भगत सिंह और पेरिस कम्यून स्मृति सभा

शहीद-ए-आज़म भगत सिंह की 90वीं शहादत दिवस और मजदूरों के प्रथम राज्य – पेरिस कम्यून – की स्थापना की 150वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर मायापुरी औद्योगिक क्षेत्र के डिस्ट्रिक्ट पार्क में एक स्मृति सभा का आयोजन किया गया।

भगत सिंह को पुष्प श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने के साथ सभा की शुरुआत की गई, जिसमें भगत सिंह के क्रांतिकारी विचारों एवं पेरिस कम्यून के महत्व व उसकी ऐतिहासिक सीमाएं पर भी वक्तव्य, गीत व नारे प्रस्तुत किए गए।

इस सभा के अंत में मायापुरी झुग्गी-बस्ती में मूलभूत जन सुविधाओं के मुद्दों पर कमेटी द्वारा तय किए गए अभियान की भी शुरुआत कर दी गई जिसके तहत तय ज्ञापन पर उपस्थित मजदूरों का हस्ताक्षर लिया गया।

सभा का अंत “इंक़लाब ज़िंदाबाद! भगत सिंह तेरे अरमानों को मंज़िल तक पहुंचाएंगे! पेरिस कम्यून अमर है!” व अन्य गगनभेदी नारों और मजदूर साथी विंद व्यास के एक मजदूर-वर्गीय गीत के साथ किया गया।
