Shaheedi Park (ITO), Delhi : A solidarity meeting was planned by #DelhiForFarmers (a joint platform of various progressive and revolutionary orgs in Delhi) to be held at Shaheedi Park (ITO) in Delhi in support of the Farmers Movement and its call of nationwide Chakka Jam.
Even though police intimation had already been given, the police forcibly detained the protesters, numbered around 200 at that time, as soon as they assembled at Shaheedi Park, who were then taken to the Rajinder Nagar Police Station in buses.
The protesters started their demonstration in the premises of the police station itself in which sloganeering was done against the anti-democratic character of the Government and its police, as well as in solidarity with the farmers protest. Revolutionary songs were also sung. Around 5 pm, the protesters were finally released.
Rajya Sabha MP from Kerala Binoy Viswam was also present with the protesters at the police station.
In light of the Chakka Jam call by farmers, there was heavy police and security force deployment in Delhi, reported to be more than 50,000 despite the farmers stating that no jam would take place in Delhi and that all nationwide activities would be peaceful.
As a response to the solidarity meeting call by DFF, police in thousands as well as numerous buses and water cannons had been deployed at Shaheedi Park. In addition, Delhi Police had already targeted various trade union leaders. Com. Animesh (IFTU Delhi President) and Com. Vipin (CITU) were picked up by police from their homes at CR Park and Badli at 5 am (6th Feb) and 12:30 am (5th Feb) respectively. Com. Surya Prakash (AICCTU) was also reportedly picked up. Along with this, Com. Manager Chaurasia (AIUTUC Delhi Secretary) and Com. Poonam Kaushik (PMS General Secretary and Coordinator of DFF) were put under house arrest on 6th Feb morning. All comrades were released only in the evening.
शहीदी पार्क (आईटीओ), दिल्ली : शहीदी पार्क (आईटीओ) में किसान आंदोलन व उसके देशव्यापी चक्का जाम के आह्वान के समर्थन में एक एकजुटता सभा आयोजित की जानी थी, दिल्ली फ़ॉर फार्मर्स (दिल्ली के प्रगतिशील व क्रांतिकारी संगठन का साझा मंच)।
पुलिस को पहले से सूचना दे देने के बावजूद शहीदी पार्क पर प्रदर्शनकारियों के जुटते ही उन्हें पुलिस द्वारा जबरन हिरासत में ले लिया गया। 200 प्रदर्शनकारियों को बसों में भर कर राजेन्द्र नगर पुलिस थाना ले जाया गया।
प्रदर्शनकारियों ने थाने में ही अपना प्रदर्शन शुरू किया और सरकार व पुलिस के गैर-जनतांत्रिक रवैये के खिलाफ व किसान आंदोलन के समर्थन में जमकर नारेबाजी की। क्रांतिकारी गीत व भाषण भी प्रस्तुत किए गए। करीब 5 बजे सभी प्रदर्शनकारी थाने से बाहर निकले।
थाने में हमारे साथ केरल से राज्य सभा सांसद विनय विश्वम भी मौजूद थे।
किसानों के देशव्यापी चक्का जाम के मद्देनजर दिल्ली में पुलिस व सुरक्षा बलों की भारी संख्या में तैनाती थी। दिल्ली में कोई जाम न करने व देश में सभी जगहों पर शांतिपूर्वक तरीके से कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने के किसानों के आह्वान के बावजूद केवल दिल्ली में 50,000 सुरक्षा बल तैनात थे।
दिल्ली फ़ॉर फार्मर्स के एकजुटता सभा के आह्वान के मद्देनजर शहीदी पार्क पर ही हज़ारों की संख्या में पुलिस के साथ कई पुलिस बसें व वाटर कैनन तैनात कर दिए गए थे।
इसके साथ दिल्ली पुलिस ने पहले से ही तमाम ट्रेड यूनियन कार्यकर्ताओं को टारगेट कर लिया था। कॉ. अनिमेष (इफ्टू दिल्ली अध्यक्ष) और कॉ. विपिन (सीटू) को सीआर पार्क व बदली में उनके घरों से ही 5 बजे सुबह व 12:30 बजे (पिछली) रात को ही पुलिस द्वारा थाने में डिटेन कर लिया गया था। कॉ. सूर्य प्रकाश (ऐक्टू) को भी उनके घर से डिटेन किए जाने की रिपोर्ट थी। इसके साथ कॉ. एम. चौरसिया (ए. आई.यू.टी.यू.सी. दिल्ली सचिव) व कॉ. पूनम (प्र.म.स. महासचिव) को 6 फरवरी की सुबह ही नज़रबंद कर दिया गया। सभी साथियों को देर शाम को ही छोड़ा गया।
