Hathras Gangrape-Murder: Protest Demonstration in Patna [Citizens’ Forum]

UNITE AGAINST RISING CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN, HATHRAS GANGRAPE-MURDER, AND STATE’S INHUMANE AND BARBARIC ACTIONS!

Patna, 3rd October 2020: In times of rapidly rising barbaric violence and crimes against women, a protest demonstration was organized by Citizens’ Forum at Patna’s Buddha Smriti Park despite rains, against the gangrape-murder of a dalit teenager in Hathras (UP) on 14th Sept. and the inhuman and barbaric actions subsequently taken by the State viz. forcibly cremating the woman’s body in the middle of the night while deliberately keeping the family members away and constantly pressurizing them and cutting them off from media, lawyers and the civil society.

पटना, 3 अक्टूबर 2020: देश भर में महिलाओं पर बढ़ती बर्बर हिंसा व अपराध के माहौल में हथरास (उत्तर प्रदेश) में एक दलित युवती के साथ 14 सितंबर को हुई जघन्य बलात्कार-हत्या और उसके बाद राज्य प्रशासन के अमानवीय व फासीवादी रवैये, जिसके तहत युवती के शव को जबरन उसके परिजनों से अलग कर रात के अंधेरे में जला दिया गया और परिजनों पर लगातार दबाव बनाया जा रहा है, के खिलाफ सिटिज़न्स फोरम ने पटना के बुद्ध स्मृति पार्क के सामने बारिश के बावजूद विरोध प्रदर्शन आयोजित किया।
